Ten Places to Share Your Blog and Grow Your Business

Hi there! I thought today would be a great day to discuss how to get your blog out there to the readers you want to reach! I also wanted to talk about how networking and working with a community can really grow your business. So let's hop right in and see the ten places we can share our blogs with others.

1. Social media. There are so many different forms of social media that you can use for your advantage. Make sure you set aside a specific time of week for each media you decide to reach. Find out where your potential readers or clients are posting. Is it Facebook, Instagram?

2. Newsletters
Create a monthly newsletter to subscribers to highlight your favorite posts from last month or to remind clients to take a look at your blog to see any posts they may have missed.

3. Email
Email those who have been mentioned in your blog. Is there a person, product or a website you can feature? Write to them to and be sure to share the link with them if they would like to share on their social media.

4. Contact bloggers with similar content
Invite other bloggers to take a look at your content. They could potentially share it with their readers as well.

5. Facebook Groups
Most Facebook groups have rules on self-promotion. Be sure to link your blog or work ONLY when they invite you to do so.

6. Link Roundups
Many blogs have monthly or weekly roundup that allows others to take part and share their content on another blog. These are usually on a specific topic.

7. Pinterest Group Boards
Finding group boards on Pinterest to share your blog posts is another great way to expose your post to new readers and to join the groups that relate to you. To find group boards for Pinterest type:
Top Pin Boards or Pingroupie

8. Q & A Sites
Take a look at these sites that have the same topics and you could post a reply with the link to that post if they are looking for answers to their questions.

9. Blog comments
Self-promotion does NOT go a long way. Be considerate of other people's blogs and only write a post with a link if the blogger asks a question that you can answer. You can also share your thoughts about it and if they are interested they will click on your profile to view your blog. You could also consider writing to the blogger to discuss a hot topic. There is potential that they could invite you to write a piece on their blog or share your opinion some way with their audience. Be sure not to just self promote yourself and you should be interested in building a relationship with them if you do contact them.

10. Relatable posts on your blog
You can link back to old content on your blog on new posts! This is great for SEO and credibility on google. This also promotes old content to new readers.

I hope this helps you figure out how valuable social media and networking with others as a community can help you move forward in your business! Are you doing any of the ten mentioned above? What could you do to implement some of these ideas into your workflow for SEO? I know I need to work more on Pinterest and linking back or reaching out to more fellow photographers to collaborate!

Well Hello Again, Monday!

HELLO MONDAY. I'm actually feeling pretty good this morning! Here's a cute pic of my boys and one of my favorite flowers besides tulips- bluebonnets!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I started using the Fitbit 3 this weekend to set alarms, track my activity, water intake, & get moving a lot more than just my workouts. Sitting in front of a computer daily: editing, creating content, and all.the.things of behind the scenes during your work day really adds up. Working from home can sometimes be HARDER for me to make time for myself. Because I am my own boss, and have a list of things to do, it seems to grow like the infamous "honey do" list and I try to wear all the hats. 😂😁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This weekend I took time to finish up a mini video tutorial. I also went for a much needed massage and I'm fired up for the week, ready to take this work week in stride! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What's on the agenda for you today or this week? Need some motivation or encouragem...

Goodbye Monday!!

GOODBYE MONDAY // Life is short. Eat the cake! 😁 I had an awesome birthday this weekend, y'all. Meals and a massage is all that it takes for this mama. I cooked maybe once. 🙊 I don't know whether to be happy about that or embarassed to share that! To all the super creatives or people out there who got through Monday, eat some cake for my birthday! 🎉💕 If you have some cake this week, tag me! 🤣 Doesn't matter what kind it is. Let's realize that Mondays can be super hard and you're not the only one. Today I struggled with BALANCE. I got so much done today- emails, laundry, editing, workout, keeping my children alive and fed-- you know the basics. 😂 Don't even ask how LAST Monday went. I felt like I got nothing done last Monday. And that's real life. 🤦‍♀️ But my balance could have been WAY better today even though I felt slightly more productive.. I need some more one on one time with my kiddos & the hubby. Working on that!!! I edited this photo wit...
