November Recap

You're probably wondering who this cutie is in the picture with me. She's my adorable daught-- er, I mean niece! My niece!!! I got to hold her so much last weekend. 😉 I have the funniest surprise story ever. My husband and I schemed to surprise my mom on her birthday last weekend. We bought tickets-- try justfly.com. Amazing deals!!!-- flew in Friday afternoon, and showed up in wigs and disguises to Outback Steakhouse in Pittsburgh. My husband started playing Happy Birthday on the guitar and my kiddos and I joined in singing with him. It was the best feeling ever to see the look of shock, happiness, and tears unfold in a few short seconds on their faces. The.best.surprise.weekend.ever... November was such a fun month for me! I got to cook my 8th Thanksgiving meal this year, with all the fixings. I totally went for Cracker Barrell's pies from scratch for our desserts this year too. They were soo good! November is my highest edit month in fall to date, with 34 weddi

October Was My Busy Season

Y'all, October was crazy busy, but in a good way. I finally have a system down where I'm not glued to my computer and I'm able to do all the things I want, including family time, fun nights, cooking, and workouts (beachbody is my favorite). It includes waking up at 5am, but to be off in the evening with my kiddos and husband is worth it to me! I kicked my coffee addiction for good now. I never thought I would say it's been eight weeks since I stopped consuming cups of coffee a day. Energize is my go to drink in the morning now! I added up the other night how many weddings I edited in October, and it was 30! Phew! My average catalogs are 500-1000 images. I always put my images edited on my monthly tracker along with images sent. Here's the official stats: Actual images edited: 16,229 out of 18,105 sent. The images not edited are anchor images sent to me so I know exactly how that photographer wants their photos edited. October was my busy season. But I checked to

Celebrating with a Client!

This week I'm celebrating one year of working together with Kaila at KCP. She has been so incredibly thoughtful and kind with so many praises/phrases that have made me giggle sometimes. Like, "You rock! Or You knock my socks off." Haha. I just love her style and how colorful and perfectly bright her style is. Her gold skin tones get me everytime! This photo reminds me of her style. It is when I really started to get those ring shots I wanted at a wedding I shot in 2016. #privatephotoeditor #privatephotoediting #outsourceediting #outsourceeditor #outsource #outsourcing #communityovercompetition #kjconsistencycourse #kjposingcourse #boutiquephotoeditor #boutiqueeditor #boutiquephotoediting www.theprivatephotoeditor.com

Time With My Boys

Although it was a crazy, busy week, we made sure to have some fun. Work kept me busy this week! I am very thankful for the ability to work around my family's schedule and help photographers have time for their family and priorities as well! What is your favorite holiday or season? My favorites are Thanksgiving and Christmas. To see the holidays through my boys' eyes and to spend time with family makes my heart full! I'm getting so excited for the holidays! Love my boys so much! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 #privatephotoeditor #outsourcing #privatephotoediting #boutiquephotoeditor #outsourceeditor #communityovercompetition #boymom #mommyandme

My Dream Job Y'all!

1 week = 11 weddings = 11,000+ photos y'all! The best part? Working on my own schedule and family time. Getting to go to the zoo with munchkin #2 while munchkin #1 is with his peers learning in zoo class. Keeping up with my Beachbody programs (thanks to the wonderful accountability groups from my coach Courtney at Triceps and Tutus). Going to my son's soccer game and karate class. Teaching xylophone and recorder class while my kiddos attend classes at their school. How am I doing this?? Photographers are putting their trust in me to help them edit their photos, which in turn let's me work at home and be with my family. It's a dream job y'all and I have wonderful clients! ❤❤  Photo credit of me goes to my 3 yr. old. 😂 #privatephotoeditor #privatephotoediting #outsourceediting #outsourceeditor #outsource #outsourcing #communityovercompetition #kjconsistencycourse #kjposingcourse #boutiquephotoeditor #boutiqueeditor #boutiquephotoed

Personal: Trip to Destin

My family and I have not had a getaway vacation in a really long time! This year we went to Destin, Florida, and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. Some are mobile pictures and some are from my camera. So please note the resolution may be lower on some! Something I have always wanted to do was parasailing, and my husband said, do it!! So I took my oldest with me as a surprise. It was awesome! Enjoy!
